Before Care
- Do not work out the day of the procedure.
- No yoga the day of the procedure.
- Do not tan or have sunburned face.
- Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or IBUprofen 24 hours before procedure.
- If you are drinking or taking vitamins and power shakes or power greens, please stop taking 3 days prior to procedure. They thin the blood and you will have more bleeding.
- It is best not to be on your period due to increased sensitivity.
- No alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure.
- You MUST be off Retin-A or Retinols for 7 days prior to your appointment and avoid using on or around the area for 30 days after. If used before 30 days, it can cause the pigments to fade prematurely. If you resume the Retin-A or Retinols after the 30 days, please know that the continued use will fade your permanent makeup prematurely.
- No waxing or tinting 3 days before.
After Care
You will go through a 10 day dry heal process. No water on the area whatsoever. Do not rub or pick at the epithelial crust, allow it to flake off on its own. Picking can cause scarring and blurring of the strokes. There should be absolutely no scrubbing, cleansing creams, or chemicals. No shower for 48 hours. Cleaning of the face can be done below the brows and with a cotton pad around and above the brows. After 48 hours, showering is permitted. Apply a very thin layer of Vaseline to the treated area to waterproof - not to moisturize. Ideally, not even Vaseline would be put onto the brows. Gently dab off the Vaseline from the brow area after the shower.
After 10 days, gently clean the treated area with a mild cleanser and rinse with water and lightly pat the area dry. Do not expose treated areas to the full water pressure of a shower, until the area has healed. Do not soak treated area in a bath, swimming pool, steam room or hot tub. Do not swim in fresh, salt, or chlorinated pool water for at least 2-4 weeks following your procedure. Limit sun exposure for 14 days following the procedure. Always have clean hands when touching your brows. You will not be allowed to donate blood for 1 calendar year following your procedure, per the guidelines of the American Red Cross.
NOTE: No water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 10 days. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure. Avoid heavy exercise and sweating for the first 10 days. No facials, botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
Do not apply any oily moisturizers, lightening or anti-aging creams or serums to the brow area. This will cause the microbladed brows to fade faster.
