Microblading/3D Hairstroke Eyebrows - What to Expect?
What Is Microblading?
Microblading is a manual method of eyebrow enhancement. It is a permanent technique where pigment is manually implanted directly under the epidermis (the skin) by using a uniquely designed and very tiny blade that leaves natural looking hair strokes.
Microblading is perfect for anyone that is interested in enhancing the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend naturally.
The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows will appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. There is a 10 day dry heal process that is crucial to preserve the brow strokes. There is a required touch up appointment with every initial appointment, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The results can last anywhere from 12 to 15 months, however, a color boost up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.
Before Treatment
A full and in depth consultation is carried out at the time of your appointment to have your procedure done, to understand your skin suitability and realistic expectations of permanent make-up. All colors and shapes are customized to each person. Your eyebrows will be drawn on first in your desired shape. A consent form will be filled out to ensure we have all the medical information necessary for the procedure. Your photo will be taken and we will apply topical anesthetic cream to start your numbing process so you will be comfortable during the procedure.
During Treatment
A topical anesthetic will be re-applied during the procedure keeping you comfortable. A 3D Manual Eyebrow Tattoo one time use Microblading Needle will be used to implant the dermatologically tested and state of the art pigments into the skin (NOT body art inks as they are not fit for a natural look on the face)
After Treatment
When the treatment is finished, some after care cream will be applied. You will be advised on aftercare and will be given an aftercare leaflet. The treatment area may feel sensitive.
Follow Up Treatment
Microblading is a 2 appointment process. You will be booked in for your follow up treatment to complete the final adjustments. This is the 'perfection' session. This will ensure that your enhancement will be beautiful. Your follow-up appointment can be no sooner than 8 weeks from your initial treatment and must be before 6 months.
Will 3D Eyebrows work well for me?
Color Boost Appointment
To maintain the hairlike appearance, a color boost appointment is suggested every 12 to 15 months. Results vary with each client.
Additional touch-up appointments will be charged depending on how much work is to be done.
Please note: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.

Will 3D Eyebrows work well for me?
- If you have extremely oily skin, the 3D eyebrow technique may NOT work well for you but we are happy to do it for you as long as you have a realistic expectation. The constant production of oil will cause the hairstrokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect.
- If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment will fade sooner.
- If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment will fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.
- Unhealthy compromised skin due to health issues, medications and over use of (anti aging, acne skin care, etc.) are all factors in the outcome.
